Well,
I went and put an order in for my 3.0ohm dyna coil today to match my 1980 era points can. I'm going to points for the simplicity and until I can afford an omega beancan.
I also purchased a R1100R brake caliper and after some machining will serve as 4 pot upgrade to the 2 pot R100 brakes.

Good evening Raven, looks very very nice. Are there special thermo-socks over your rear suspension and how deep is the snow around your hut?
Grüsse von hensmen.

Hensmen; Dirtskinz shock cover, it's made of neoprene. I had it custom made for the Works shock. The $20USD it cost is well worth not having to spend another $250usd on repairing the shock again. The shaft was scored and needed replacement.
Snow got to about a meter, fortunately it's been warm with rain recently so another few weeks it'll be clear
The GS will be christened with a ride in the mud to get to the road
Herbert: Since that photo was taken I've installed Hotgrips, and Barkbuster Storms. I have a black fender enroute at the moment, as well as a yellow R80G/S logo I had printed up.

Hi Raven, just a remark on your neoprene Shock Covers...
They are not really the best you can do to save the shocks.
Dust might go through and works the fork tubes like sanding it.
My hint: better have a look inside after dust or mud rides.
In competition they went back to rubber covers.
just my 2 cents
cu
