I have no old pipes and no way of taking measurements.

Do you know what internal diameter the engine needs?

hello thank you. It is useful to me.
A close friend of mine told me he has a Setrab radiator, a little bigger than the original radiator BMWR100GS. He bought the radiator with oil hoses from a German shop:
outer diameter of the steel hose: 9.50 mm
internal diameter: unknown


what changes if the diameter is larger or smaller? on my bike the pump and the radiator are standard.

Hello,

nothing changes if it isn't really very thin.
The diameters of the Oil circle of the rest of the Engine (especially the Steel-line in the Filterhousing) and the pressure determin the Flow in and out of the Cooler.
If you take +/- nearly the same diameter as this Line you can' t be wrong. I think this Line is around 8 to 9 mm internal diameter.
