Danke

Hi, has anyone mounted a R1100GS swingarm on a R80/R100 2V frame with strut - paralell strut (365mm for BMW R 850 - 1150 -1100 GS) adjustable so you can raise/lower the rear of the bike?

How many mm adjustment you have chosen?

Thanks

Hi,

I use the MV-Verholen adjustable strut. But with a 1150 swingarm. This strut was for a R1100S and too long. So, I have had cut them. But you need for my point of view only the original R1100 GS strut length, or not!?

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I think I didn't explain myself well and made a mistake...also in translation.
Anyway the 365mm torque arm is originally mounted on R850GS-R1100GS- R1150GS-R1100S
The 385mm one on R850R-R1100R-R1150R rockster-R850RT-R1100RT-R1150RS-R1150RT.

I am adapting an R1100GS swingarm on R100GS frame. I haven't decided yet whether to tilt the engine, but since I have to make some measurements I wanted to build an adjustable torque arm so that I can (in relation to the Ujoint working angle) check if and how much I can raise the rear of the bike (having longer forks). Maybe something already exists on the market, maybe not. If I have to build it I was wondering how many mm of adjustment would be right for all my measurements.

For testing you could use a timber slat, with two holes with a distance of 365mm and 385mm. Or the second way cut the original one and install a normal threaded bar. But only for test purpose:oberl:

Yes sure, thanks. I think I don't need to try 385mm .. or longer than 365mm .. I will build or buy something to try 365mm to go down .. to raise the back. Or am I wrong 😅?
