Hello,
It seems that a bunch of my fellow airheads over here in the states have been having issues with poor quality neutral switches. After a 1000mi the plastic separates from the metal housing, and the plastic, not rubber o-ring starts seeping.

Have you guys been having similar issues?
Are there any cross used switches from the automobile side?
Any good aftermarket sources?

Hi,

these issues are common. Unfortunately, there are no alternative switches known, be it aftermarket or automotive (at least to my knowledge).

Some of us have achieved good results using high quality glues to fix these switches (double component glues witch resist temperatures up to, say, 100° centigrade). Using them, you first have to make sure that there is absolutely no oil or grease left on the switch. Some have applied such glues even to brandnew switches.

btw, don't use a rubber o-ring. An aluminium gasket ring will serve you better.
